Hoffman CFO & AI was co-founded by Evan Hoffman and Aya Avituv. We help small and growing businesses, typically owner-led teams of 5 to 100 people, replace manual spreadsheets and admin with simple systems, automation and clear numbers. Between us we have built these systems at larger companies; we bring the parts that work, sized and priced for a smaller business. Our approach: understand how your business works first, automate what is repetitive, apply AI where it is reliable and reviewable, and leave clear documentation behind.

Evan Hoffman, CPA
Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer
Evan is a CPA (Arizona) with 17+ years of experience. A finance and technology leader, he modernizes manual, fragmented processes through ERP and finance systems, automation and in-house AI, strengthening controls, reporting and close along the way.
He currently leads finance for a high-growth lender, where he rebuilt the month-end close from 20 business days to under one week and designed an in-house AI application that cut four days of monthly manual journal entries to under one hour.
Previously he was Financial Controller at Swipejobs, where he led an AP automation initiative from software selection through adoption and resolved $1.8M in legacy state tax liabilities from acquisitions. As Controller at Savage Universal, he reduced month-end close from 15 to 2 business days, led the Infor M3 ERP implementation, and supported the company's sale to Videndum Group through due diligence. At Seacret Direct he moved the company from an annual cycle to a structured 15-day monthly close and led a team of five. Earlier roles include implementation work at ManpowerGroup Solutions and public accounting.
He now brings that hands-on experience to small businesses that want the same kind of automation and clarity without a large finance team.
He is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Accountancy and holds a BS in Accounting and a BS in Information Systems from Salisbury University. Systems experience includes SAP Business One, Infor M3, Microsoft Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, Xero and SQL.
Aya Avituv
Co-Founder & Chief AI Officer
Aya is an AI transformation and product leader with 12+ years of experience defining and delivering data- and AI-powered products across fintech, customer experience and enterprise technology.
At NICE, she owned the product strategy for turning an experimental AI model into a core internal product, and led the delivery of a digital lead management platform replacing Excel-based workflows. At Payoneer, in analytics product management within FP&A, she defined the company's Active Customer metric, led development of a global profitability analytics engine built on $40B+ in transactions, and managed the analytics stack modernization to Looker and BigQuery. At EY, she led strategy and business development on post-acquisition integration and restructuring initiatives for a global pharmaceutical client. She also served as a data science senior manager at Columbia's Quantitative Methods Innovation Lab, and earlier did investor relations work for biotech and technology companies, helping clients raise $20M+.
Aya holds an MA in Quantitative Methods: Data Sciences from Columbia University (4.0 GPA), where her thesis applied machine learning to predicting company outcomes, and an MBA with a concentration in strategy from Hebrew University (4.0 GPA). Her technical toolkit includes SQL, Python, R, BigQuery and Power BI.
She brings the discipline of large-company AI and data programs to small businesses, focusing on practical tools that people actually adopt.
